Hanover Society for New Music

The Hanover Society for New Music (HGNM) or Society for New Music (Hanover) is a publisher based in Hanover and a non-profit association for the promotion of New Music .

History and activities

The association was founded on January 31, 1987 in Hanover. The aim of the association is to promote and mediate new music. The association is a corporate member of the Society for New Music , the International Society for New Music (IGNM) and the Lower Saxony Society for New Music.

The Hannoversche Gesellschaft für Neue Musik organizes concerts and premieres of new music, organizes international composition competitions and awards commissioned compositions. It organized music festivals, including the Hanover New Music Biennale , a bell concert for the 30th Evangelical Church Congress in 2005 and the festival for new music.

The association published numerous introductions and documentations. Since 1987 he has published the magazine Noten und Notizen: Zeitschrift der Hannoversche Gesellschaft für Neue Musik eV
