The ENT Clinic Bogenhausen Dr. Gaertner or Gaertnerklinik is a specialist clinic for ENT in Munich 's Bogenhausen district . As an acute hospital with 20 beds and 30 day clinic treatment places, the clinic is included in the hospital plan of the Free State of Bavaria . Private and public health insurance patients are treated there.
history
The clinic was founded in 1953 by Wolfram Gaertner and has been run as a family business for two generations . The ENT clinic has been supported by a non-profit foundation since 2015.
In 1976 the clinic was included in the hospital requirements plan for Bavaria.
Kilian Gaertner has been the sponsor and director of the clinic since 1994.
In 1998 a supply contract was signed with the health insurance companies for the semi-stationary, multimodal treatment unit for tinnitus, acute hearing loss and sensory therapies (BE.THS). In 1999 the clinic building expanded to Possartstrasse 27.
In 2005 the ENT sleep medicine center started operations at the ENT clinic. In 2007 the Medical Care Center (MVZ) for general medicine (naturopathy) opened.
In 2010 the treatment unit for ENT vertigo therapy was set up. In the same year the Kilian Gaertner Foundation for Health, Social Affairs and Culture was founded.
In 2012 the “KulturStation” for salutogenesis and health education was founded.
In 2013 the hospital expanded to Possartstrasse 31 with the opening of the ENT- Psychosomatic Day Clinic.
Departments
In addition to ENT medicine , the range of medical services also includes general medicine , allergology , naturopathy , sleep medicine and the treatment of dizziness , balance disorders and tinnitus . Sensory therapies have also been offered since 2015.
The operative center of the clinic includes both inpatient and outpatient procedures in the areas of ear, nose and throat surgery and plastic aesthetic surgery. Almost 3,000 surgical interventions (2931 in 2018) are carried out in two operating theaters every year. In the non-surgical area, complex ENT-psychosomatic diseases and other psychosomatic illnesses are also treated psychotherapeutically .
The department for integrative ENT medicine and ENT psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy has 20 therapy places. The therapeutic team consists of specialists, psychotherapists, physicians and psychologists in training, specialized therapists for purposes of therapies such as music therapy , hearing therapy, voice, speech and respiratory therapy , Qi Gong and Shiatsu , Craniosacral Therapy , eurythmy , movement therapy , physical therapy and physiotherapy to CRAFTA and art therapy , a social worker and nursing staff.
The therapy concept of the Department of ENT Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy is based on an integrative approach that combines psychodynamic and behavioral therapy methods. Of the more than 4,500 patients annually, around 1,600 patients are treated in the day clinic in the center for integrative ENT medicine and ENT psychosomatics.
To the ENT clinic Dr. Gaertner also owns the MVZ ( medical supply center ) Bogenhausen.
