HTC One is a smartphone series from the manufacturer HTC with the Android operating system . The first model appeared on the market in spring 2012.

Flagships

The successor to the HTC One (M8) , the HTC One M9 was presented on March 1st, 2015 and has been on sale since March 28th, 2015.

A smaller and larger version of the HTC One from 2013, the HTC One mini and the HTC One Max and a smaller version of the HTC One (M8) from 2014, the HTC One mini 2, were also released .

In June 2014, the HTC One (E8) , a smartphone from the new One series, was released for the first time, which is not one of the main models. Since then, such “offshoots” have appeared regularly under the One label. The latest is the HTC One M9 Prime Camera, which with its MediaTek Helio X10 SoC belongs to the middle class of smartphones.

All smartphones in the series except for the HTC One X + were delivered with the Android 4.0 operating system . The One X + has Android 4.1 or 4.1.2 alias Jelly Bean ex works, as well as the new and revised HTC Sense version 4+ or Sense 5. All older devices still have the older Sense version 4. This should Make it easier for the user to operate the device and differentiate it from other manufacturers.

In July 2012, the manufacturer confirmed that an update for the HTC One S, X and XL to Android 4.1 alias Jelly Bean will be released soon . All smartphones meet the system requirements for Jelly Bean.

In April 2013 the HTC One S and HTC One SV received an update to Jelly Bean version 4.1.2. The HTC One X also received a software update in April.

In August 2013, the HTC One X, X + and XL, and in December 2013 also the HTC One SV, were updated to Jelly Bean Version 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5.0.
