The HTC One M9 is a smartphone from HTC and the successor to the HTC One (M8) . It was presented by HTC on March 1, 2015 in advance of the MWC . The start of sales in Germany was originally planned for March 31, 2015, but was brought forward to March 28, 2015 at short notice.
Furnishing
The One has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC , which includes a 64-bit - octa-core processor with four 2.0 GHz and 1.5 GHz and four times 3 GB RAM and a Adreno 430 includes GPU. Like the two previous models, the 5-inch (approx. 12.7 cm) screen has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a brightness of 472.5 cd / m². The operating system is Android version 5.0.2, with the user interface HTC Sense 7.0 ("SevenSense"). It also has a 20.7 megapixel camera on the back, which is illuminated by a dual LED. Videos can be recorded in 4K . An ultra-pixel camera with 4.1 megapixels is used on the front camera, as was already used as the main camera in the previous models. A sound optimization via the two front speakers ("BoomSound"), as well as with suitable headphones, takes place by means of Dolby Audio . The battery with 2840 mAh capacity should achieve a standby time of almost 400 hours and a talk time of up to 25 hours.
The smartphone is also assigned protection class IP X3, which ensures a slight water protection, for example in light rain. Just like its predecessor, the camera does not have an optical image stabilizer. The device is available in the colors silver, gold and dark gray.
The One also supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and LTE with up to 300 Mbit / s.
background
In May 2015 it was announced that HTC had cut orders for the individual components of the One by up to 30 percent. The reason given is the low demand for smartphones.
