The handball sports club Bayreuth is an amalgamation of the two handball departments of the sports clubs BSV '98 and Bayreuth TS.

Since the 2020/21 season, the first men's team has been playing in the 3rd division, Season South .

The first women's team played in the fourth-class Bayernliga.

history

In spring 2001 the handball departments of the BSV '98 and the Bayreuth TS merged to form the Bayreuth handball club. The individual clubs remain active independently of each other.

With this handball community, they made it into the third division, season south , in the 2019/20 season .
