The Habelschwerdter Mountains ( Góry Bystrzyckie in Polish ) is an elongated mountain range of the Sudetes in Poland . It extends for a length of about 50 km east parallel to the Eagle Mountains . Its width is about 7 km.

At an altitude of 811 m , the Przełęcz Spalona ( Brandpass ) mountain pass divides the mountains into two parts. The northern part of the mountain range, through which the valley of the Habelschwerdter Weistritz ( Bystrzyca ) runs, is characterized by dense forests and peat beds.
The Habelschwerdter Weistritz rises in the high moor Cicha Łąka on the southeast slope of the Smolna ( Vogelberg ). The Torfowisko pod Zielńcem ( Seefelder ) bog, which is protected as a nature reserve , is the source of the Wild Eagles ( Dzika Orlica ) east of Zieliec ( Grunwald ).
The highest mountain is Jagodna ( Heidelberg ) , located in the southern part of the mountain, with a height of 977 m .
The valleys of the Reinerzer Weistritz ( Bystrzyca Dusznicka ) and the Wild Eagle separate the mountains in the west from the Eagle Mountains. The state border with the Czech Republic runs along the Wild Eagle . In the north, the Reinerzer Weistritz forms the natural border with the Heuscheuergebirge . To the east, beyond the closing at Boboszów ( Bobischau located) 534 m high mountain pass Przełęcz Międzyleska ( Pass of Mittelwalde or Králický pass that) Śnieżnik Mountains on.
