Hadibu ( Arabic حديبو, DMG Ḥadībū ; also Tamrida or Hudaybu ) is the capital of the Yemen island group of Socotra in the Indian Ocean . The city is located on the north coast of the main island Socotra , at the foot of the mountain Jabal al-Jahir and has a population of just over 10,000. At the time of the Mahri sultans , Hadibu was under the name Tamrida one of the capitals of their empire Qizhn and Socotra .

The new Socotra Airport ( IATA code SCT, ICAO code OYSQ) with a taxiway of 3000 meters has been located 12 km west of Hadibu, on the coast near the city of Qadub . The city also has a small port, the most important of Socotra.
