Hagen Pfundner
Hagen Pfundner (born October 27, 1960 in Pforzheim ) is a German pharmacist, he is an industry manager, member of the board of the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI) and the Association of Researching Drug Manufacturers (VFA), as well as honorary professor at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau and chairman of the DHBW University Council Loerrach .
Life
After studying pharmacy at the University of Freiburg (Brsg.), Which he completed with the pharmacy exam in 1989, he became a research assistant at the universities of Marburg and Kiel . With the dissertation: Participation of cytochrome P-450 in the biotransformation of amidines; Investigations with purified enzymes and antibodies , he received his doctorate in 1991. rer. nat. at the University of Kiel .
After joining sales and product management at Hoffmann-La Roche AG Germany (1992–1995), he took on international tasks as global business leader for the therapeutic areas of inflammatory and bone diseases in Switzerland (1995–1998), as well as marketing and sales management in Canada (1998–2001), became global leader in virology at the head office in Switzerland (1998–2001), took over management in Sweden and has been managing director of Roche Deutschland Holding GmbH and board member of Roche Pharma AG Germany since 2006.
In 2008 he was appointed to the board of the VFA and was its chairman from 2011 to 2017; since 2011 he has been a member of the board of the Institute for Market-Oriented Management (IMU) at the University of Mannheim . He is a board member of the BDI and chairman of the BDI committee for industrial health management.
The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau appointed him honorary professor in 2016. He is also chairman of the university council of DHBW Lörrach, rectorate Theodor Sproll .
In 2016 he was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Business Medal by Minister Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut .
Hagen Pfundner is married and has two children.
