The Schöneben ski area ( Belpiano in Italian ) on the Reschen Pass is a member of the Ortler Skiarena and the Zwei Länder Skiarena . Schöneben lies between 1460 and 2400  m slm and is operated by Schöneben AG. It is the home ski area of ​​the Haid Ski Club .

Characteristic

The area includes slopes of various levels of difficulty. In addition to easy slopes, there are also challenging and difficult slopes such as the descent into Rojental in the ski area . This descent, also known colloquially as the “cannon barrel”, is particularly popular with skiers. A moderately difficult valley run to the banks of Lake Reschen is more natural. The ski area has received the “best slope maintenance” award several times with the gold seal of approval.

The ski area has two access points, from Reschen am See and from St. Valentin on the Haide .

For the 2017/2018 season, the originally independent Haideralm ski area was taken over by Schöneben AG. In the 2018/2019 season, the technical connection between the two formerly separate ski areas was also put into operation.

Lift systems

There are nine mountain railways / lifts, namely four cable cars, four chair lifts and a drag lift.

Huts

Zehner-, Elfer- and Zwölferkopf

On the plateau is the year-round open ski house Schöneben with self-service restaurant and the Rojenhütte with igloo bar at the valley station. The upper ski house is the starting point for numerous high mountain hikes in summer, including to the Rojener Sonnenuhr consisting of the Zehner-, Elfer- and Zwölferkopf or as a connecting tour over the high path to the Haideralm, as well as the starting point for several challenging single trails for mountain bikers . There is also a mountain hut at the mountain station on the Haideralm.
