The Hainichlandweg is a 130-kilometer hiking trail in Thuringia . The circular hiking trail leads in the districts of Wartburgkreis and Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis around Hainich and its national park , as well as into the Werra Valley .

The circular hiking trail begins and ends in Weberstedt . Via Kammerforst , Struth , Heyerode , Probsteizella , Mihla and Hütscheroda you get back to the starting point after 130 kilometers.

For travelers by train or public transport, the entrance in Mühlhausen is also a good option , as the place can be reached quite easily by train and the Hainichlandweg can be reached on foot from there in a few kilometers.

history

The hiking trail was marked on existing paths in 2012 after a five-year planning period. More than 300 signs were put up for this.
