Haldex is a Swedish company that operates as a supplier to the automotive industry worldwide.
Haldex produces brake , hydraulic and drive systems as well as spring steel wire (Garphyttan) for numerous vehicle manufacturers. The Haldex company's best-known product is the Haldex clutch developed in cooperation with Volkswagen , which is used in the Syncro all-wheel drive systems from Volkswagen and quattro from Audi .
The Haldex Garphyttan division has been producing oil tempered valve spring steel wires , stainless wires and flat and profile wires for suppliers to the automotive industry since 1927 .
