Halina Kobeckaitė

Halina Kobeckaitė (born December 20, 1939 in Trakai , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian diplomat .

Life

After graduating from high school, she studied journalism at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1962 and from 1962 to 1963 she studied Uzbek philology at the University of Tashkent in Uzbekistan . From 1964 to 1967 she taught aesthetics at the Kaunas Medical Institute and from 1967 to 1970 she was an aspirant at the University of Moscow , in 1972 she did her doctorate and from 1971 to 1989 she taught at the Technical University of Vilnius . From 1994 to 1997 she was ambassador to Estonia and from 1997 to 2004 to Turkey . From 2004 to 2007 she worked as a consultant to Valdas Adamkus .
