The Halkın Sesi Partisi ( HAS , German party of the people's voice ) was a religious-conservative political party in Turkey that existed from 2010 to 2012 . The party's ideological orientation was unknown and was not suggested or indicated in many sources. The cause was probably that the party was not homogeneous enough to represent a fixed position.
The party disbanded in September 2012 and the members joined the ruling Justice and Recovery Party (AKP) , along with party leader Numan Kurtulmuş .
history
The party was founded on November 1, 2010 in Ankara on the initiative of the former chairman of the Islamist Saadet Partisi , Numan Kurtulmuş, by 235 members. 89 percent of the members had a university degree, including 23 professors, 29 lawyers, 26 engineers, 21 academics, 17 educators, 12 managers and 10 so-called “doctors”.
On November 28, 2010, exactly 28 days after the party was founded, the first major party conference took place in the Ataturk Sports Hall in Ankara. 12,000 people from home and abroad attended the party congress. Among them were AKP deputy chairman Abdullah Aksu , the chairman of the Pakistani Islamic party Mohammed Ibrahim, Iran's ambassador in Ankara Nebil Maruf , Georgia's ambassador in Ankara Tariel Cebamiti and many others.
