The Hallenmasters were an indoor football tournament in Winterthur that took place from 2006 to 2016 at the beginning of January and was held in the Deutweg ice rink . In addition to the professional football tournament, a regional and senior tournament was held, with the senior masters being won by a selection team with ex-professionals from the tournament organizer Puls Sport. Until 2010 there was also a women's soccer tournament, which was then replaced by a junior tournament.
In 2017, after the main sponsor was no longer available, the event was canceled for financial reasons and was no longer held in 2018. The indoor tournament was the last professional football tournament of its kind in Switzerland.
The professional football tournament was always held on the last day of the Hallenmasters with six participants who were invited by the organizers. First there were group matches with three teams each. In the semifinals that follow, the group leader of one group plays against the group runner-up in the other group for the final. If there was no winner in the knockout phase after regular time, a penalty shoot-out was taken immediately. The small final and the placement game for 5th place were also held in each case. The playing time was two times 12 minutes.
