Quedlinburg type

The Hallesche Monolithbauweise ( HMB ) is a construction method developed by the housing combination of the Halle district ( GDR ) in the 1970s , which combines building with industrially prefabricated components ( panel construction ) with the tunnel shuttering method . The load-bearing construction (walls and ceilings) of the houses are concreted on site (tunnel shuttering process) and then non-load-bearing outer wall elements, stairs and loggias are assembled as prefabricated parts.

Occurrence

The construction method was mainly used for larger inner-city new construction projects in the Halle district , for example in the inner cities of Halle and Zeitz . For two large-scale new construction projects in the historic city center of Quedlinburg (Harz), it was further developed into the Quedlinburg ( HMBQ ) type .
