Hallgrímur Jónasson (born May 4, 1986 ) is an Icelandic football player on the position of central defender .

Career

In his youth Hallgrímur played with Völsungur ÍF and Þór Akureyri . After he had played five games for Keflavík ÍF until January 2009 , the central defender moved to Sweden to GAIS Gothenburg . Here he became a regular player in the following years. After a six-month loan to the Danish first division club Sønderjysk E , he was firmly committed by the latter in January 2012.

Hallgrímur is the current national team player for Iceland .
