A Hallstatt sword (also Mindelheim Sword) is a mostly of iron forged, more rarely, from bronze cast sword .

description

The Hallstatt sword has a double-edged, narrow blade that is broadened in the middle. The blade becomes narrower from the handle to the location and widens in the middle of the blade, then it narrows again towards the location. There is a wide central ridge on the blade that runs all the way to the place. The place is pointy. The booklet is usually made of bronze and is often decorated. The pommel is usually mushroom-shaped and made of bronze or organic material. Inlays made of glass flux are rarely found . The Hallstatt sword is a guide to the early Hallstatt period. The characteristic Mindelheim type is a handle-tongue sword with a blade about 90 cm long, which is slightly wider in the middle, and a mushroom knob made of organic material.
