The Halter AG , based in Zurich , and offices in Bern and Lucerne is a Swiss company for construction - and real estate services . The group of companies employs around 200 people and generates annual sales of between 500 and 600 million Swiss francs.

Field of activity

Halter AG comprises the four business areas of development, general contracting, real estate and construction services.

Halter Developments deals with project , site and area developments from the creation of the idea to implementation and use. In addition to various projects in the residential and commercial property sector, Halter was also responsible for the development of the new sports arena on the Lucerne Allmend.

As a general contractor , Halter specializes in new buildings as well as renovations and conversions of residential, office and commercial properties, but also of hospitals and real estate for other purposes.

The real estate division comprises the four main areas of development consulting, facility management consulting, and the marketing and management of properties with different types of use.

The construction service division includes construction services such as bricklaying , plastering and slab work as well as excavation service . In addition, Halter is also active in the procurement of building materials and external services, as well as in advising and developing overall solutions.

The core business of Halter AG with its four business areas is supplemented by strategic investments in selected technology companies, especially in the construction-related area and in the field of energy efficiency.

history

The family company was founded in 1918 by Wilhelm Halter. At that time, he took over the construction business from Jacob Müller in Altstetten . Later, as a representative of the second generation, Jost Halter converted the company into a stock corporation . Since 1988 the company has been run by the third generation of Balz Halter. Under his leadership, the company developed from a local construction company mainly active in the Greater Zurich Area into a Swiss-wide group of companies in the construction and real estate industry.
