Hamburg architecture summer

The Hamburg Architecture Summer is a cultural event that takes place every three years in Hamburg .

The summer of architecture was launched in 1994 "as a building culture citizens' initiative", sponsored by the association Initiative Hamburger Architektur Sommer eV Over a period of around three months, the summer of architecture forms the framework for "a large number of events in different formats on architecture , landscape architecture , interior design , urban development and civil engineering , including all artistic disciplines . ”The program consists of independent individual events from architects' offices, professional associations, museums, authorities, galleries, associations, universities and individuals. The target group has been the general public since the beginning. As a building culture triennial, the summer of architecture is “a fixture in Hamburg's cultural life.” On the occasion of the “100 years of Bauhaus” anniversary, the 9th summer of architecture was postponed to 2019.
