The Hamer Hill is a 505 m high hill on the Nordenskjöld Coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the eastern edge of the massif central of the Sobral Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1984 after the geologist Richard Daniel Hamer (* 1955), who worked for the British Antarctic Survey at Rothera Station from 1978 to 1979 and from 1980 to 1981 .
