Benqué Town Hall

Benqué ( Gascon Benquèr ) is a town in the French community Benqué-Molère and a former municipality last 83 inhabitants (at January 1, 2014) in the department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). The inhabitants are called the Benquois .

Benqué is about twenty kilometers southeast of Tarbes .

history

On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Benqué was merged with the neighboring municipality of Molère to form the municipality of Benqué-Molère. It belonged to the arrondissement of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and the canton of La Vallée de l'Arros et des Baïses (until 2015 Lannemezan ).
