Two Danish burial mounds operate under the name Hamlet's grave , including the Bronze Age , flattened round mound on Djursland in Jutland .

The hill is near Ammelhede, about 4.0 kilometers east of Assentoft . It is surrounded by cultivated fields and has been greatly reduced over the years. Today it has a diameter of about 18.0 meters and a height of about one meter. In the Bronze Age (1800–500 BC) it was 2.0–2.5 meters high. In 1950 the mound was examined by the National Museum. Traces of a stone box were found in the middle of the hill . However, apart from a few shards, there were no significant results. A boy from the nearby "Ammelhedegård" farm is said to have found amber beads , bronze jewelry, urns and weapons in the hill. In 1933, on the initiative of the Randers Tourist Association, a ten-ton boulder with a memorial text was deposited on the hill.

The legend of Hamlet ( Amled in Danish ) is one of the most famous Nordic heroic tales that Saxo Grammaticus wrote . Shakespeare's Hamlet is based on the Danish legend. In Forsinge near Kalundborg there is a Hamlet Høj and an Amled Mose (moor).
