The Hammerbachstadion (through sponsorship agreement with ebm-papst Stadion am Hammerbach ) is a football stadium with an eight-lane athletics facility in the Lower Bavarian town of Landshut . The facility in the West Sports Center is the home ground of the SpVgg Landshut football club . Today it offers 8150 seats, 2000 of which are covered seats in the main stand. In addition to the natural grass field in the stadium, there are other fields for football in the sports center. In addition to an illuminated artificial turf field measuring 100 × 65 m, there are two natural green spaces measuring 96 × 62 m and 90 × 45 m. In addition to an electronic scoreboard , the stadium has a floodlight system .
After SpVgg Landshut was founded in 1919, the club played on different courses. In 1921, a meadow on Hammerbach , the location of today's stadium, became the new home of SpVgg. In 1975, construction of the Hammerbach Stadium began as part of the West Sports Center. The opening was celebrated on July 21, 1984.
In June 2019, two group matches of the UEFA Regions' Cup were played in the Hammerbachstadion.
