Hana Androníková (born September 9, 1967 in Gottwaldov , † December 20, 2011 in Prague ) was a Czech writer .

Life

After finishing school at the grammar school in Zlín , she studied English and Bohemian Studies at Charles University in Prague . After completing her studies, she worked as a personnel manager for foreign and Czech companies.

Androníková devoted himself only to literature since 1999. Her debut work "Zvuk slunečních hodin" (The sound of the sundial), which depicts the fate of several women from the Holocaust to the 1989 revolution, received several Czech awards, such as the 2001 "Literary Prize of the Book Club" (Literární cena Knižního klubu) and in 2002 the "Magnesia-Litera -Prize “ (Magnesia Litera) in the category New Discovery of the Year.

In the novel “Nebe nemá dno” (Translator: Bottomless Sky) published in 2010, Androníková dealt with her cancer , from which she died in December 2011.
