Hanenfeldt , historically also Hanenfeld , is the name of a Baltic noble family .

history

The Hanenfeldt begin their family line with Peter Hanenfeldt in 1572 in Riga . The initially middle-class family achieved some prosperity, relatives were merchants, academics and pastors and spread to Courland and Lithuania . The " Radziwiłł 'Sche" captain lieutenant and commandant of Birsen Paul Wilhelm von Hanenfeldt († 1731) was raised to the Brandenburg nobility on January 16, 1680 by the Great Elector . While the civil lineof the family died out in 1752, two Livonian knights in 1797 (sub. 259) and 1854 (sub. 400) were registered with the Livonian knighthood .

The family was able to temporarily acquire the following estates in Livonia: Absenau, Alt Bewershof, Dickeln , Essenhof , Hilchensfähr, Judasch, Seyershof and Waldamsee. At the time of collection of the goods by Estonia in 1920 was still Fehren and castle Sunzel with Baldwinshof, Bresemoise and Kewel with the family.

The coat of arms (1680) is of gold and red divided , overlaid with a black rooster with red comb and rags, holds the two green leaves in golden beak and in the lower box of two silver stars is beseitet. On the red and blue puffed helmet with red and blue blankets the rooster. Deviating from this, the helmet covers are also emblazoned as black and gold on the right and red and gold on the left .
