Hani al-Mulki

Hani al-Mulki ( Arabic هاني الملقي; Born October 15, 1951 in Amman ) is a Jordanian politician and diplomat .

Life

Mulki received a bachelor's degree in production engineering in Egypt in 1974 and earned his master's and doctor's degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy , New York .

He was Minister of Water, Energy and Mineral Resources from August 21, 1998 to March 4, 1999. From March 19, 1997 to August 20, 1998, he was Minister for Industry and Trade in Jordan. From October 25, 2004 to April 5, 2005 he was Foreign Minister of Jordan. From February 9, 2011 to November 17, 2011 he was Minister of Industry and Trade in Jordan. As the successor to Abdullah Ensour , he was Prime Minister of Jordan from May 29, 2016 until his resignation on June 4, 2018 . King Abdullah II appointed the previous Minister of Education and former World Bank economist Omar al-Razzaz as his successor .
