Hanna G. Alwan CML (born September 20, 1954 in Aytou ) is Curia Bishop in Antioch .
Life
Hanna G. Alwan joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Lebanese-Maronite Missionaries , professed in 1979 and was ordained a priest on July 18, 1981 . The Synod of the Maronite Church elected him on June 6, 2011 as Curia Bishop in Antioch. Pope Benedict XVI confirmed this appointment and on August 13, 2011 appointed him Titular Bishop of Sarepta dei Maroniti .
The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and of the whole Orient , Béchara Pierre Raï OMM , ordained him episcopal on September 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Habib Hitti , Bishop of St. Marron of Sydney , and Georges Bou-Jaoudé CM , Archbishop of Tripoli .
