Hanna Klose-Greger
Hanna Klose-Greger (born May 9, 1892 in Hochweitzschen , † January 14, 1973 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) was a German painter , graphic artist and writer .
life and work
Klose-Greger studied painting and graphics at the Dresden School of Applied Arts from 1908 to 1911 . She lived for many years in Chemnitz (Karl-Marx-Stadt) on the Kaßberg , wrote numerous historical novels, some of which she furnished with her own illustrations and book covers or dust jackets. In addition, she created numerous commercial graphic works such as posters and postcards, including the award-winning official festival card for the city hall inauguration in Chemnitz in 1911. In 1919, the children's book Hab mich lieb , written and illustrated by her, was published (Thüringer Verlagsanstalt, Frieses Verlag department, Chemnitz).
Klose-Grieger was a member of the German Werkbund (DWB) by 1928 at the latest , as well as the Chemnitz Artists' Circle and the Reich Association of German Artists .
