Hannah Ocuish

Hannah Ocuish (March 1774 - December 20, 1786 in New London , Connecticut ) was the youngest person to be sentenced to death by the US judiciary .

Hannah, the daughter of a Pequot Indian , was hanged in public in New London , Connecticut on Wednesday December 20, 1786, at the age of 12 years and 9 months . She allegedly committed the murder of six-year-old Eunice Bolles five months earlier after an argument broke out between the two children.
