Hannes Grebner (born October 4, 1921 in Großlangheim ; † February 9, 1971 there ) was a German dialect and native poet and composer .

The most famous of his songs is the Starla Song , which sometimes is played on the radio and in the traditional work in the vineyard is described. In his verses and songs Grebner often addresses his love for his hometown, for nature and the area around the Schwanberg .

Life

Grebner grew up on his parents' property in Großlangheim in Lower Franconia . After finishing school he worked in agriculture and viticulture . In 1941 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht and only returned to his hometown after the end of the war in 1945, where he again worked in agriculture. With mechanization and technical progress in agriculture, the income from agriculture and viticulture was no longer sufficient to support the family to feed three children - Grebner finally worked as a stoker on an airfield and in the fulgurite works.

Musical creation

He dealt with the war time and thus the time abroad in a verse of the song Am Schwombarch . His love for his hometown and his talent for composing and poetry are also shown in the song We were on the beautiful Rhine , which was written during a trip to the Rhine .

Grebner's first songs were brought to the people by the rural youth ; he provided musical accompaniment with the accordion . Once he had internalized the sung melody and verses, many a text was written down on a piece of an artificial fertilizer sack (previously made of paper). His main teacher at the time, Alois Worschech, helped write down the grades. Most of Grebner's songs are published in Hannes Grebner - Mundartliches from Großlangheim , which was compiled by Reinhard Worschech, the former district nurse.
