Hannes Nedbal (born June 24, 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian dancer , dance teacher and dance sports trainer. As a member of the jury of the Austrian TV format Dancing Stars , he became known to a wide audience.

After graduating from secondary school, he began training as a telecommunications engineer. He attended a dance school and joined a dance sports club. After seven years as an amateur, he switched to professional life. He represented Austria at numerous tournaments and successfully participated in European and world championships.

He was a dance teacher for ballroom dancing and took over with his dance partner a dance school in Vienna. He also worked with his wife as a dance teacher in a dance school in Pottenstein.

After his active career as a sports dancer, he has also been a judge since 1988. In the Professional Tournament Dance Association of Austria (PTVÖ), Hannes Nedbal is the secretary. He became known to the Austrian television audience as a member of the jury for the show Dancing Stars . From 2005 to 2016 Nedbal was part of this jury. Since 1970 he has been married to Lotte Nedbal, also a dancer. The Nedbal couple worked at the Triestingtal dance club until 2014.
