The Hannover Art and Culture Lexicon is a lexicon as well as a manual and city ​​guide to the city of Hannover . It was first published in 1994 and the fourth updated edition was published in 2007.

The city ​​guide's authors are Helmut Knocke and Hugo Thielen , the editors Dirk Böttcher and Klaus Mlynek .

Structure of the fourth edition

The editorial deadline for the edition was the end of April 2007. The lexicon with its almost 300 pages is divided into the following chapters:

In the appendix there is a list of references (selected) and the image sources . At the end, a person and subject index helps you to find the book.

There are two fold-out city ​​maps in the front and back covers ; one for the city center and a larger one for the entire urban area, on which the numbered locations of the monuments allow a quick overview and easy location of the associated descriptions.
