Hanns Vogel

Hanns Vogel (born August 13, 1912 in Munich- Schwanthalerhöhe; † November 14, 2005 there ) was a German writer , dramaturge and theater director . He is the founder of the Munich Tower Writers' Association .

Life

As the son of a stage manager at the Bavarian State Theater, Hanns Vogel came into contact with the theater at an early age. After studying stage direction, he worked alongside famous theater people such as Heinrich George and Albert Florath . Own productions soon followed on various stages. He wrote his dramas, poems and stories mainly in Bavarian dialect. Vogel worked in the cultural department of the state capital of Munich in the 1960s and 1970s . a. responsible for organizing the city's 800th anniversary as well as hosting Munich's district festivals. In 1959, Hanns Vogel and seven other authors founded the prestigious Munich Tower Writer's Association , of which he was director until 1979. Hanns Vogel received numerous honors and awards, including a. the Bavarian Order of Merit , the Bavarian Poet Thaler and the Munich Medal shines .
