Hannu Lahtinen

Hannu Antero Lahtinen (born September 20, 1960 in Jalasjärvi , South Ostrobothnia ) is a former Finnish wrestler who became world champion in featherweight ( Greco-Roman style ) in 1983 .

Lahtinen, who wrestled for the Seinäjoen Paini-Miehet in Seinäjoki , was Finnish featherweight champion in 1983. With this title he was allowed to participate in the World Cup in Kiev in September. Lahtinen reached the final undefeated and defeated the East German Günter Reichelt on points with 9: 5. In 1984 he was seventh in the European Championship. At the Olympic Games in 1984 Lahtinen did not survive the group stage and had to be shouldered by the Egyptian Salem Bekhit .
