Hans-Christoph Berndt

Hans-Christoph Berndt (* 1956 ) is a German politician of the AfD . Since 2015 he has been chairman of the right-wing extremist association “ Zukunft Heimat ”, a citizens' initiative from Golßen with around 100 members, and since 2019 a member of the Brandenburg state parliament .

Life

Berndt grew up in East Berlin , studied dentistry and did his doctorate on the transport of dopamine in the brain of rats . He has been working as a laboratory doctor at the Berlin Charité since the mid-1980s , where he was chairman of the faculty's staff council for around ten years until 2016 . He lives in Golßen - Sagritz in the Dahme-Spreewald district .

In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 , Berndt was directly elected to the state parliament of Brandenburg in constituency 28 (Dahme-Spreewald III) . He won the direct mandate with 28.9 percent of the first votes .
