Hans-Detlef Hoffmann

Hans-Detlef Hoffmann (* 1947 in Braunschweig ) is a German Lutheran theologian . From 1997 to 2010 he was theological vice-president in the regional church office of the Evangelical Church in Westphalia .

Life

Hans-Detlef Hoffmann studied Protestant theology from 1967 to 1972 in Bethel , University of Tübingen , Vienna and Münster . In 1972 he completed the 1st theological exam. From 1976 to 1980 he worked as a research assistant at the Bethel Church University , and was ordained in 1977 . 1979 doctorate he in Zurich Dr. theol. From 1980 to 1991 Hoffmann was parish priest in Herford and until 1996 superintendent of the parish of Herford . From 1997 to 2010 he was theological vice-president in the regional church office of the Evangelical Church in Westphalia and member of the church leadership, member of the college of the regional church office and deputy to the president of the regional church.

Hoffmann was a member of the 11th synod of the EKD .

Special assets of the parish of Herford

In 2011, an investigation was carried out against Hoffmann with regard to an undeclared special fund of the Herford church district. This was withheld from the district synod for decades.
