Hans-Diether Imhoff

Hans-Diether Imhoff (born February 19, 1933 in Duisburg ; † July 6, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and municipal civil servant . From 1967 to 1982 he was the City Director of Dortmund .

Life

The son of the bank director Hans Imhoff and Emilie, geb. Barbion, attended the Helmholtz-Gymnasium Essen , where he passed the Abitur. He then studied law at the universities in Bonn and Freiburg im Freisgau . After completing his legal preparatory service, he passed the second state examination in Düsseldorf in 1961 .

Imhoff entered the service of the Dortmund city administration in 1961 as a legal advisor . He became an alderman in 1964 and from 1967 to 1982 he was the city director. As such he was from 1972 to 1982 chairman of the supervisory board of the United Electricity Works Westphalia (VEW) . After leaving the senior city director's office, he moved to the board of the VEW. Since 1957 he was a member of the SPD.

Hans-Diether Imhoff was since 1957 with Maria, geb. Brunner, married and had one son.
