Hans-Enno Korn

Hans-Enno Korn (actually Johannes Enno Wilhelm Gotthilf Korn , born July 12, 1934 in Marburg , † August 18, 1985 in Marburg) was a German archivist , heraldist and lecturer at the Marburg Archive School .

Life

He was born the son of the State Archives Councilor Otto Korn . He attended high schools in Haldensleben, Magdeburg, Aurich and Düsseldorf. From 1954 to 1960 he studied at the Universities of Münster, Freiburg and Göttingen (state examination in 1960, doctorate in 1962). From 1960 to 1962 he was at the University degli Studi Rome, Pont. Gregorian University, Scuola Vaticana di Paleografia e Diplomatica (diploma as “Paleografo-Archivista”). From 1962 to 1964 Korn worked at the archives school in Marburg, then until 1966 assessor at the State Archives Münster , 1967 government archivist , 1972 archivist, 1974 advisor for coat of arms and seal flags at the Marburg state archives, 1975 lecturer at the University of Giessen for modern history and at of the University of Marburg (historical auxiliary sciences in the Institute for the History of Pharmacy). He was involved in various cultural and historical associations. He was also a member of the Herald (since June 16, 1964), the eagle , the Swiss Heraldic Society and the Societas Heraldica Scandinavica.

On July 24, 1964, he married Gunthild Heydt in Marburg, with whom he had three sons.

Heraldic creation

“Adler und Doppeladler” in the Herald's quarterly journal 1964–1968, furthermore an exhibition catalog “Otto Hupp” (Marburg series 6/1975) as well as sphragistic and heraldic essays. Another catalog ( "Hessian district and municipal coat of arms") with 52 coats of arms and seal drawings by Heinz ride he published in 1984. Hans-Enno grain was a collector heraldic and sphragistischer literature (about 2,000 volumes), partly owned by Erich Kittel , in a special collection by Otto Hupp .
