Hans-Erich Tannhäuser (born July 11, 1960 in Minden ) is a German engineer and local politician . From September 2013 to September 2017 he was mayor of the city of Northeim in southern Lower Saxony .

Career

Tannhäuser was initially employed as the civil engineering department manager and technical works manager of the wastewater company at the city of Vreden . In 2001 he moved to Northeim, where he worked as a junior partner in an engineering office. Two years later he set up his own office. During this time, as a project manager, he was significantly involved in the development and implementation of the first German bioenergy village in Jühnde .

Hans-Erich Tannhäuser is the father of three children. He lives with his partner in Northeim.

Local politics

On September 22nd, 2013 Tannhäuser was elected mayor of Northeim.
