Hans-Georg Vitt
Hans-Georg Vitt (born April 5, 1923 in Weidenau ; † July 17, 1981 in Munich ) was a North Rhine-Westphalian SPD - state and local politician and successively mayor of the cities of Weidenau (1956–1961 and 1964–1966) and Hüttental ( 1966–1974) in the Siegen district .
Life
After high school and administrative apprenticeship, Vitt, who had been a member of the SPD and the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union (ÖTV) since 1946 , was managing director of the SPD sub-district of Siegen / Wittgenstein from 1950. In the SPD, Vitt also belonged to various party committees at the district and state level.
From 1948 to 1966 Vitt was a member of the council of the city of Weidenau, from 1966 to 1974 of the council of the newly formed city of Hüttental. Before and after his election as mayor in Weidenau, he was also several times SPD parliamentary leader in Weidenau from 1952 to 1956 and from 1961 to 1964. In the council of the city of Siegen, after the incorporation of the city of Hüttental from 1975, Vitt also became chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. Vitt was a member of the district council of the Siegen district from 1952 to 1981, temporarily until 1969 and again from 1979, as the SPD parliamentary group leader.
From July 19, 1962 to May 28, 1980, Vitt was a member of constituencies 129 (Siegen-Land-Ost), 132 (Siegen-Land II) and 131 (Siegen I) for five legislative periods, from the 4th to the 8th electoral term ) to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1975 to 1980 Vitt was chairman of the state parliament's transport committee.
In addition, from 1953 to 1981 Vitt was a member of the association assembly of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association, from 1964 to 1981 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the landscape assembly.
