Hans-Hinrich Knaape

Hans-Hinrich Knaape (born December 16, 1934 in Güstrow , Mecklenburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1950 to 1952 Knaape did an apprenticeship as a pipe fitter, in 1954 he obtained his university entrance qualification in Dresden . He studied human medicine in Rostock from 1954 to 1959 , and in 1959 he obtained the title of Dr. med., his license to practice medicine followed in 1960 . In 1964 he became a specialist in neurology and psychiatry at the Rostock University Neurological Clinic, in 1975 he became a specialist in child neuropsychiatry, and in 1977 he became a Dr. sc. med. and received the Facultas Docendi . Until 1991 he was chief physician at the clinic for child neuropsychiatry at the Brandenburg District Neurological Clinic. He was also a member of the Marburger Bund .

In 1990 Knaape joined the SPD. From 1990 to 1993 he was a member of the State Party Council and the State Committee Brandenburg, and in 1994 he became a Party Council. He was also a member of the Brandenburg City Council from 1990 to 1993. From 1990 to 1998 he sat in the German Bundestag as a directly elected member of the constituency of Brandenburg - Rathenow - Belzig .
