Hans-Jörg Blondiau (* 1959 in Brühl ) is a German stonemason, sculptor and managing director of an art house cinema .

Life

Blondiau was born the son of a stonemason in Brühl . After school and an apprenticeship as a stonemason outside of his parents 'company in neighboring Bonn , he spent his time as a journeyman in his parents' company, which has existed since 1892 and which he completed in the 1990s after completing the master's course for stonemasons and stone sculptors at the master school in Aschaffenburg took over in the fourth generation.

Social Commitment

Blondiau is interested in and committed to culture. In 1986 he was one of the founding members of the ZOOM association , which is committed to a culturally sophisticated cinema program. This has been taking place in the Brühler Rathauskeller with 65 seats since 1996 and as an open-air cinema in summer in the inner courtyard of the town hall and has received numerous awards since Blondiau has been chairman. In the summer of 2013 the association reached 1111 members who also come from the neighboring cities of Hürth and Wesseling . Zoom belongs to the working group Kino - Gilde deutscher Filmkunsttheater . From 1995 to 2009 a workshop festival was held in the more than 100 year old workshop of his stonemasonry. Blondiau was also part of the city council and the culture committee of the council of his hometown.

For 2016 Blondiau was appointed to the jury for the Gilde Deutscher Filmkunsttheater award at the Berlin International Film Festival.
