Hans-Jörg König

Hans-Jörg König (born December 27, 1942 ) is a German educator. In 1989/1990 he was the last president of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the GDR .

König was an employee and professor at the Institute for Didactics at the APW. When the long-standing President Gerhart Neuner had to resign on December 6, 1989 because of his proximity to the SED, König took over the office. He was powerless against the liquidation of the APW on December 31, 1990.

Then he ran a tutoring institute in Eberswalde .
