The journal for pedagogy (ZfPäd) is one of the central journals of university educational science . It appears every two months and has an edition of 2000 copies. The ZfPäd is one of the few German-language journals in the field of educational science that is included in the Social Science Citation Index (see Web of Science ), and therefore has a certain international reputation.
The impact factor of the ZfPäd in 2012 was 0.260. In the statistics of the Social Science Citation Index , the ZfPäd was ranked 190th out of 219 journals in the "Education & Educational Research" category.
History of publication
The magazine has been published by Beltz Verlag in Weinheim since 1955 . It appeared quarterly until 1963. The founders were Fritz Blättner , Otto Friedrich Bollnow , Josef Dolch , Wilhelm Flitner and Erich Less .
It was continued by Dietrich Benner , Herwig Blankertz , Hans Bohnenkamp , Wolfgang Brezinka , Josef Derbolav , Andreas Flitner , Carl-Ludwig Furck , Georg Geissler, Oskar Hammelsbeck , Ulrich Herrmann , Walter Hornstein , Wolfgang Klafki , August Klein, Doris Knab, Martinus J Langeveld , Ernst Lichtenstein, Wolfgang Scheibe , Hans Scheuerl , Hans Schiefele and Franz Vilsmeier.
The editors are currently (May 2017) Cristina Allemann-Ghionda , Marcelo Caruso , Sabine Andresen , Kai S. Cortina, Reinhard Fatke, Werner Helsper, Eckart Klieme, Roland Merten , Jürgen Oelkers , Sabine Reh, Roland Reichenbach, Tina Seidel , Petra Stanat, Heinz-Elmar Tenorth , Ewald Terhart and Rudolf Tippelt .
