Julius Tröger (journalist)

Julius Tröger (* 1983 in Balingen ) is a German journalist and book author . He works as an editor at Zeit Online in Berlin .

Life

Tröger began his professional career at the Black Forest Messenger . He later worked as an editor for Die Welt and the Berliner Morgenpost . After interning at the research network ProPublica and the Guardian in New York , he founded the interactive team of the Berliner Morgenpost, which has received multiple national and international journalism awards. In 2018 he changed to Zeit Online as Head of Visual Journalism . In the same year his first book "1000 Kilometers Germany" was published by Rowohlt Verlag .
