Hans-Jürgen Fuhrhop

Hans-Jürgen Fuhrhop (* 3. September 1915 in Lueneburg , † 10. July 2004 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Fuhrhop attended the secondary school in Lüneburg and then began training in agriculture. He was employed on several estates and from 1937 made Reich labor service in West Prussia . He was a member of the NSDAP since May 1, 1937 ( membership number 5904351).

During the Second World War he was a soldier in the war between 1939 and 1945. Most recently he held the rank of company commander. After the end of the war he took over his father's farm in Melbeck . He became district chairman of the CDU in Lüneburg.

He was also the founder and chairman of several agricultural service cooperatives and chairman of a breeders' association at state and federal level. Fuhrhop was also an honorary state labor judge. He was also elected chairman of the Lower Saxony rural people in the Lüneburg district association. Fuhrhop was a member of the state board of the Lower Saxony rural people and vice president of the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture . He became a member of the district assembly of the Lüneburg district from 1962 to 1970 and was the parliamentary group leader of his party.

Fuhrhop was elected a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the seventh to ninth electoral period from June 21, 1970 to June 20, 1982.
