Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke (born May 27, 1956 in Troisdorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and district administrator of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss in North Rhine-Westphalia . The CDU politician won the last local election on September 13, 2015 with 60.4 percent of the vote. He was nominated with 99.26% by the delegates' assembly of the CDU in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, the candidacy was supported by the FDP and UWG. In the previous local election on August 30, 2009 he received 57.4 percent of the vote (his opponent Rainer Thiel (SPD) received 33.8 percent of the vote) and was thus elected district administrator for a period of six years. Before being elected as District Administrator of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, the lawyer Petrauschke was district director of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss from 1996 to 2009. He has now worked in the public sector for 40 years. After graduating from high school in 1974, he studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn and completed a supplementary course at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer.

Petrauschke is u. a. Member of the Rhineland Landscape Assembly in the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia , in the lignite committee of the Cologne district government , in the supervisory board of RWE Power AG and in the Erftverband .

Petrauschke is chairman of the regional council in the administrative district of Düsseldorf .

Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke lives with his family in Grevenbroich .
