Hans-Jürgen Schnipper

Hans-Jürgen Schnipper (* 22. May 1940 , † 8. June 2013 in Haltern am See ) was a German politician of the CDU and 1999-2004 district of Recklinghausen .

Life

Schnipper became a member of the CDU in 1963. From 1969 he was a member of the city council of Marl and served from 1979 to 1994 as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there . In the 1990s he became honorary chairman of the CDU Marl. He was also a member of the CDU district board and was deputy district chairman from 1987 to 1999. From 1989 to 1999, Schnipper was a member of the Recklinghausen district council . During this time he was deputy district administrator from 1994 to 1999. In 1999 he was elected to the district administrator of the Recklinghausen district in the first direct election. In 2004 he ran again, but lost in a runoff election to his challenger Jochen Welt ( SPD ). From 2004 to 2009, Schnipper was again a member of the Recklinghausen district council. He died on June 8, 2013 at the age of 73.
