Hans-Jakob Mosimann
Hans-Jakob Mosimann (born April 3, 1956 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss legal scholar .
Mosimann studied law at the University of Zurich from 1975 to 1981 . In 1982 he graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in political science . From 1982 to 1984 he was assistant to Ulrich Klöti at the University of Zurich. In 1985 he did his doctorate with Manfred Rehbinder .
Until he was elected judge at the Social Insurance Court of the Canton of Zurich in 1997, he represented the Social Democratic Party in the Zurich Cantonal Council . In addition, up to this point he was central secretary of the Swiss Association of Public Service Personnel (VPOD).
Since 2004 he has been a lecturer at the Institute for Business Law at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur.
Mosimann is a board member of the Swiss Association of Judges and a member of the editorial board of the Swiss Judges' Journal .
