Hans-Josef Koggel (born July 30, 1937 in Kobern ) is a former German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Koggel attended elementary school and business school. In 1953 he began a commercial apprenticeship, which he completed in 1956 with the examination for a clerk. 1956–1957 and 1959–1960 he worked as an accountant, interrupted by his military service in 1958. 1960–1973 he was head of accounting and 1973–1991 administrative director of the De Haye Foundation in Koblenz.

In 1957 he joined the Junge Union and CDU. From 1960 to 1970 he was chairman of the Junge Union local association and 1960-1963 district chairman of the Junge Union. From 1972 to 1982 he was chairman of the CDU local association. 1982–1994 he was chairman of the CDU community association and 1990–1994 chairman of the CDU district association Mayen-Koblenz. From 1977 to 1989 he was district chairman of the Local Political Association, 1982–1992 member of the State Executive Committee of the Local Political Association and 1982–1992 deputy district chairman of the Municipal Political Association, Koblenz-Montabaur district.

From 1964 he was a member of the local council, where he was parliamentary group chairman from 1974 to 1981, 1981–1986 and 1994–1999 mayor. From 1974 to 1981 he was a member of the Verbandsgemeinderat and from 1979 to 1981 first alderman of the Verbandsgemeinde. Between 1986 and 1991 he was an honorary district deputy of the Mayen-Koblenz district and 1991–2002 a full-time councilor of the Mayen-Koblenz district. 1989–1991 he was a member of the Mayen-Koblenz district council.

In 1983 he was elected to the tenth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for an electoral term until 1987. In the state parliament he was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs and Health, the Petitions Committee and the Prison Commission.

He was also active in a large number of clubs and associations. He was chairman of the board of the Raiffeisenbank Untermosel , chairman of the supervisory board of the Kultur- und Freizeitanlagenfördergesellschaft mbH Kobern-Gondorf, 1985–1997 vice-president of the friendship group Rhineland-Palatinate / Burgundy, 1989 founder and brother-master of the St. Matthias brotherhood Kobern-Gondorf, 1994 co-founder of the German commandery of the Order of the Red Lion of Belgian-Dutch Limburg and Saint Sebastian , 1999 founding president of the Kunstakademie Rheinland and honorary president since 2003, 2002–2005 deputy state chairman of the regional association of music schools in Rhineland-Palatinate, 2006 board member of the association of former members of the state parliament, member of the State board of the DLRG and the main committee of the Sportbund Rheinland, founder and founder of the foundation for heritage, culture, landscape and monument preservation in Kobern-Gondorf and chairman of the board of trustees.
